This policy explains what information Chinchilla Marketing collects when you visit chinchilla.marketing or use our services, why we collect it, and what you can do about it.

Information we collect
Information you give us
- Contact details — your email address or Telegram handle when you email us or message us.
- Project material — footage, images, audio, text, brand assets, or account access you share so we can deliver a build or service.
- Order details — which build you bought and when, so we can deliver it and answer support questions.
Payment information
Payments are handled by Square. Your card details go directly to Square and are never received or stored by us. We may see limited order metadata such as the amount, date, and a transaction identifier.
Information collected automatically
- Server logs — IP address, browser and device type, referring page, and pages requested, recorded by our hosting and network providers.
- Cookies and similar technologies — small files set by the site and by third-party services such as Google, described below.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar storage for a few purposes:
- Essential — keeping the site working correctly and remembering basic preferences.
- Analytics — understanding which pages and builds people actually use, so we can improve them.
- Advertising — measuring and personalising ads served through Google AdSense.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect how parts of the site behave. For advertising cookies specifically, see the Advertising section below.
How we use information
- To deliver the builds and services you ask for, and to provide support;
- To process payments and prevent fraud;
- To operate, secure, and improve the site;
- To respond to enquiries and keep a record of them;
- To serve and measure advertising that keeps the site free to browse;
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
Where the GDPR or a similar law applies, we process information on the basis of performing a contract with you, our legitimate interests in running the business, your consent (for non-essential cookies and marketing), and compliance with legal obligations.
When we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the providers that make the site and services work, and only as far as needed:
- Square — payment processing.
- Cloudflare — hosting, content delivery, and network protection.
- Google — advertising (AdSense) and web fonts.
- Telegram — if you choose to contact us through it.
- Meta — where a service involves publishing to Facebook or Instagram on your behalf.
- Legal and safety — where required by law, or to protect rights, property, or safety.
Advertising
This site displays advertising through Google AdSense.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info.
- For more detail, see How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Data retention
We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes above. Project material is retained while the project is active and for a reasonable period afterwards so we can support you, then deleted or anonymised. Order and payment records are kept longer where tax and accounting rules require it.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information, including encrypted connections and restricted access to credentials. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you;
- Ask us to correct or delete it;
- Object to or restrict certain processing;
- Request a portable copy;
- Withdraw consent for cookies or marketing at any time;
- Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under California law — note that we do not sell personal information.
To exercise any of these, email us. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
Children
The site and services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows the current version, and material changes will be reflected there.
